Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort was speaking with Chris Matthews at the GOP Convention on Thursday night, and offered a very sexist reason as to why he thinks women will vote for Trump. Matthews asked how the campaign plans to deal with the issue of women hearing Trump criticizing Hillary simply as a "male criticizing woman." He dug way back to the 1950s for his response:

Women in this country feel they can’t afford their lives. Their husbands can’t afford paying for the family bills. Hillary Clinton is guilty of being a part of the establishment that created that problem.
