Seven-year-old's fake act of violence results in real, stupid punishment.

Superman had the same problem in elementary school, except the box of evil was real.

In the latest misguided attempt to prevent school violence, a Colorado school has suspended a second grader after he pretended to throw a grenade at a box full of evil to save the world. According to an article in the Denver Post, “the box exploded, in apparent success.” The grenade, which was—as we have mentioned—non-existent, violated his school’s no-tolerance policy for games involving weapons, even if they’re figments of someone’s imagination. Elsewhere on the playground, a bully gave someone a very real wedgie.
