1. State Legislator Wants To Put A Bullet In The Heart Of Utah's Ban On Firing Squads

Utah Rep. Paul Ray is hoping to bring back the beloved practice of shooting hot pieces of metal directly into the cardiovascular systems of blindfolded prisoners, also known as death by firing squad. "The prisoner dies instantly," Ray explains. "It sounds draconian. It sounds really bad, but the minute the bullet hits your heart, you're dead. There's no suffering." Also, people get to shoot guns. So, win-win.
