Look at all these languages! (via Slate)

Here's another way to look at the US, thanks to Ben Blatt, who has been making a bunch of these maps for Slate. This kind of thing speaks to the lazy geek in me that loves information being condensed into delicious little nuggets. When you sweep away the English and Spanish stats, it's nice to see that Navajo has managed to keep its grasp on the southwest, or that German is dominating the country even though I've never heard of it being offered in public school. Most surprising of all to me is Arabic is spoken in... lemme check this other thing just a second...
