Alexsandro Palombo is an artist who takes images from popular culture and manipulates them to talk about social issues. He recently tackled domestic abuse for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25. Using Photoshop, he made celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Miley Cyrus look like they'd been beaten up, then tweeted the images with the caption "Life Can Be A Fairytale, If You Break The Silence." In a press release he wrote:
The biggest accomplice of violence is the silence, a silence which every year kills or causes permanent disability more than diseases or accidents. Domestic violence is a social cancer that knows no boundaries nor social status, it can affect anyone, whether you’re an ordinary person or a celebrity. To defeat him you need to use the antidote of culture by educating and raising awareness on Respect and Equality.

According to TMZ, the Kardashians are not happy. They say that people should have a right to decide whether or not they want to participate in the project, so they're threatening to sue. The photos are from a fashion show in Paris last year.
Palombo also did a similar thing with Disney princesses that suggest there's no such thing as a Happily Ever After.
