More high tech and way more terrifying than the old paint job, PETA created an intense installation in Bangkok to expose shoppers to the gross reality of fancy purses.

The people at PETA Asia created a pop-up shop in "one of Bangkok's hippest shopping malls to show consumers the suffering behind every exotic-skins bag, belt, jacket, and pair of gloves or shoes."

It turns out, much like the people who wear snakeskin, the leather is gorgeous on the outside, and disgusting on the inside. It manages to be even more effective than a Sarah McLachlan Animal Cruelty video.
