It's hard to make a Harry Belafonte reference the most out-of-touch part of any statement.

The GOP is not racist, you see, they just have trouble holding back their vomit when they see a white man married to a black woman (they're not even same-sex!) with two children, who, unsurprisingly, turned out to be biracial. At least, that's what Richard Cohen, syndicated columnist for the Washington Post would have you believe. This racist, retrograde little gem was actually part of a column on Chris Christie being disliked by the Tea Party (so, basically, he unintentionally called Christie the only non-racist Republican), but the Internet and news media are now really, really, really mad at him. Not to be left out, I would like to address you as well, Mr. Cohen.
