A family of six has been found alive after surviving two nights of sub-zero temperatures huddled inside their Jeep in the Nevada Mountains. The fact that they are all in good condition is a minor miracle considering that many families of six packed into a Jeep wouldn't survive a ride to the mall.

The ordeal began when the Jeep carrying James Glanton, his girlfriend and four kids overturned and rolled down an embankment during a family outing to play in the snow. Rescuers say the fact that they survived is due to the adults making several smart decisions, like telling relatives where they were going and bringing food and water. They also used a fire to heat rocks which were placed on the Jeep's spare tire to provide warmth.
