We're down with her lifestyle. (screengrab via NBC)

Last week, Dayna Morales's story of discrimination went viral. After a couple refused to tip the former Marine waitress because she is gay, Morales posted a copy of the couple's bill to Facebook. They had written, "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life." Morales was hurt and angry, but support, both verbal and financial, came pouring in.

People have been stopping by the restaurant just to sit at Dayna's table, or calling to offer their encouragement. Now, instead of responding the way I would in this situation (by saying "Well, I don't support your lifestyle either, you jerk"), Morales is giving back a portion of the donations she's received to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Ultimately, Morales was given about $2000, which is great and all, but it does seem like we should we able to spontaneously raise more like $20,000, right? Come on, Internet! Get it together.
