"Just think of me as the Tosh of New Hampshire state legislators. Hey-o."

A New Hampshire state legislator was forced to apologize after using the term "vaginas" as a stand-in for women in an email debating a Stand-Your-Ground law. Here's what Republican Peter Hansen sent as an official response to the opposition's claim that retreating is preferable to standing your ground:

After being called out on his idiocy by a fellow rep, Hansen refused to apologize, saying that calling women vaginas is a "well founded strategy in communication," a statement which frankly has more shock value than his original word choice. Furthermore, Hansen said, "if you find the noun vagina insulting or in some way offensive then perhaps a better exercise might be for you to re-examine your psyche." So basically, calling women "vaginas" is the sort of thing they teach you in debate class, and it's fine to say vagina in all contexts unless you're some kind of women's genitals-hater.
