Brooklyn's Adam Yauch Park, named after the late member of the Beastie Boys who was once called "Muslim Americans' hero, and America's personal Jewish Gandhi," had its playground vandalized with swastikas and "Go Trump" graffiti this week. Images of the hateful messages spread quickly on social media.

But locals weren't having it. As NPR reports, city workers removed the graffiti Friday night, and on Saturday, kids returned to their playground to decorate it with very different messages. The posted hearts and flowers on the make-believe train, and a warning appeared in chalk: "This machine stops fascists."

Hate crimes have swept the country since Donald Trump won the election, but if this story is any indication, love isn't giving up the fight just yet.
