A man allegedly made his teenage daughter cut off her long hair and now he and his current wife are being investigated for abuse, according to WGNTV. The girl's mom, Christin Johnson, wrote a post on Facebook detailing how her ex-husband and his current wife made the girl, Kelsey, get a haircut after her mom got her highlights in her hair for her birthday.

In the post, Johnson wrote, "This is what my daughter looked like Sunday when I took her home and the other two pics is what happened today before she was brought to me… all over me having highlights put in her hair for her birthday!" She included three photos of her daughter on Facebook — in the first, the girl, Kelsey, is smiling and looking happy with the new highlights in her hair. But in the next one, Kelsey is covering her face, clearly very upset, and sporting a super short haircut. The third pic is Kelsey's haircut from behind. It is indeed very short. NOT that girls can't have short hair, but a girl having all her hair cut off when she didn't want to is pretty devastating.

According to Haskins Police Chief Colby Carroll, the couple is being investigated for potential child abuse. The dad, Schaffen Frederick, and his wife, Sarah Murray, are both firefighters and have both been put on leave from their jobs.

Chief Carroll told WGNTV, "I've been doing this since '92 and I've never had a case I would say that's like this. Mom was upset with how her child was being cared for -- lack of better terms."
