Last week, a woman named Ellie Wilkie and her father, Brian, went viral for this heartwarming and inspiring tweet:

After the tweet about her father's mental health recovery and new job garnered about 30,000 retweets, Ellie and her dad were invited to speak on the popular British talk show, This Morning.

The pair traveled to London from Scotland to film the segment, but that same morning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement.

You can guess what happened next.

The royal news quickly monopolized the airwaves, and Ellie and Brian's story was nixed to make room for engagement coverage.

Needless to say, the father-daughter duo were bummed. Wouldn't you be? On top of everything else, look how good Ellie's hair looked!

But Twitter was completely outraged:

On Tuesday morning, This Morning addressed the cancellation in a tweet, and invited Ellie and Brian back to the show.

But for many Tweeters, the apology was too little too late.

What do you think? Is their apology enough? Is it understandable that a news network needs to prioritize breaking stories with global interest over smaller, evergreen ones? Doesn't Ellie's hair look amazing?
