Stories about crying toddlers on airplanes rarely end well. But thanks to one mom, the passengers on her recent flight were treated to a dose of much-needed compassion. And no, she didn't bring goody bags to bribe her fellow passengers to tolerate the sound of her babies screaming. In fact, she was flying without kids.
Kesha Bernard, a photographer and mother to two young children, wrote a post on Facebook detailing what happened on her flight. "Here I am on vacation away from my kids (who I absolutely love to death but sometimes you need a break from toddlers) and I'm flying with an infant on my lap. Why? Because I'm a decent human being," she began.
As Bernard was settling in to her seat, the sound of a crying child filled the air. As a parent herself, she said she's used to the sounds of crying and whining, so she ignored the noise. But what she was unable to ignore was another woman rudely complaining about it. She wrote:
