Laura Mazza is out to prove that no two pregnancies are ever the same — even for the same person.

Mazza, aka the mommy blogger Mum on the Run, is drawing attention for her Facebook post showing off two totally different side-by-side photos of her two belly bumps.

I love side by side photos but mine are never the “right” way society deems it should be. You know, on the left I was...

In the photo on the left, Mazza was 14 weeks pregnant and wafer thin. In the photo on the right, taken during her second pregnancy, she was 9 weeks and showing a bit more bump. For Mazza, the difference says something about how she handled the journey into motherhood.

Mazza explains that she was worried about being "jiggly" and even wore Spanx to tighten her belly. "I was embarrassed that my husband had this blimp of a pregnant wife and all these people would constantly remind me that I’m gonnna have to work hard to go back to my prebody," she wrote.

For her second pregnancy, Mazza had stopped worrying about her appearance — but that didn't stop others from commenting on it. "By my second pregnancy I got asked 'are you sure it isn’t twins?' Yeah for 9 months that second baby has been hiding Wendy ya twat...no it’s not twins, but thanks for helping me feel positive about my body at such a vulnerable and hormonal time."

She summed up the post in a lesson for all of us, mothers or not — don't comment on the state of a pregnant woman's body (or anyone else's, while we're at it.) As Mazza wrote, "And please well meaning individuals who feel the need to comment on a pregnant woman’s body, or any woman’s body, know this, the only time you should worry if something is too big or too small, is the cake and flowers you’re gonna buy her for being such an amazing human being.
