On Wednesday, maternity photographer Anna Elizabeth Malpass posted a series of somewhat unconventional gender reveal photos. If you're not familiar with the concept, gender reveals are a way to let everyone know your baby's gender without just posting one of those blurry sonogram photos on Facebook. This couple decided to do their gender reveal with rifles, explosives, and colorful chalk powder filling the air.
You're welcome, America.
According to the post, hubby and special forces officer Keith discovered the gender of his and his wife Jamie's unborn kid by shooting a rifle at a box that exploded with colorful powder.
Malpass wrote: "This was the most epic gender reveal I've gotten to photograph ... Love this fun and unique couple, and am so excited for their little BOY!!"
'Tis epic-looking indeed.
The baby is... A BOY!
Nice idea, but is this really necessary? What ever happened to get the results together and love each other for it? All of this extreme is showing in our young adults trying to outdo each other. Just sayin'. Not trying to be downer, just my opinion. Not looking to open up a discussion about this. Enjoy whatever you see fit!
The couple aren't the only ones to shoot at colorful explosives for a gender reveal. See one in action, below.
Do leave the gun-wielding to the professionals. Like special forces type professionals.
