23 women share the things they wish they’d known before getting pregnant.

Everyone knows pregnancy is not exactly a cake walk (although it may involve copious amounts of cake, you do you!). But though the books and blogs and YouTube videos may prepare moms-to-be about "what to expect while you're expecting," there are many aspects of the experience that these resources fail to mention. The only way to get the real unvarnished truth about pregnancy is to hear directly from women who've been through it.

Someone asked women of Reddit who are or have been pregnant: "what is something you wish you knew BEFORE you got pregnant?" These 23 women spill the dirt on things nobody prepared them for about pregnancy:

1.) From creativeandwonderful:

Nosebleeds. Not currently pregnant, but when I was, I got nosebleeds every few days during the first and second trimesters.

2.) From AbsolXGuardian:

From my mom: I paralyzed her from the waist down for a few hours because I decided to take a nap on her spinal cord in the third trimester. The doctor's response was "yeah you'll be able to move again once they wake up." Pregnancy is pure body horror.
