When President Obama left office, we did not just lose a reserved, level-headed president who had a grip on reality and no ties to Russia, but we also lost his resident "anger translator," Luther.

Luther, played by comedian Keegan-Michael Key, was responsible for delivering Barack Obama's angry internal monologues as the 44th president kept a calm, cool, and collected exterior. Here is a clip of Luther and President Obama at the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Ah, simpler times, my friends.

Well, on Tuesday night Keegan-Michael Key pulled Luther out of retirement to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and translate a few of Obama's public statements since leaving the White House. Spoiler alert: he is pissed as hell.

If you thought Luther was angry during the Obama administration, behold is wrath now that Trump is president:

Not to diminish Luther's radiant anger, but haven't we all become anger translators since Donald Trump took office?
