Even more stomach-turning than regular calculus, dental calculus is the term for tartar and plaque that has built up around neglected teeth and calcified. If you've ever scoffed at the dentist for scolding you about flossing, you could end up like the mouth in this silent clip, which seems perfectly normal until the teeth seem to shatter, and then you realize—that isn't tooth.
