After a 6-foot long goanna wandered into Mimosa Wines & Drystone Restaurant in New South Wales, Australia on Sunday, waitress Samia Lila took it upon herself to escort the giant reptile out of the building by dragging it by its tail. Someone get this girl a raise.
Lila, a 25-year-old woman who is on a working holiday from France, told The Huffington Post that at first she mistook the goanna for a dog. Once she realized it was one of the large (but mostly harmless) reptiles indigenous to the area, she dragged it away from customers. However, she was careful not to do the lizard any harm.
“I like reptiles. I think he is a really beautiful creature,” she said. “I didn’t want to hurt him.”
What Lila doesn't like, ironically, are spiders.
“She scans for them [and] can spot a daddy long legs at 40 meters,” Lila's boss, Glen Butson, told ABC News. “But she had no fear at all of that goanna."
