There's something gut-wrenchingly satisfying about watching footage of an airplane near-disaster, as long as you know everyone was OK. It reminds you you're alive.

In this instance, a Dornier Do 24 ATT seaplane making a stunt water landing in Austria struck an object in the water and spun around in place before coming to a stop. Luckily, the plane was only slightly damaged and is already flying again. It's a testament to both German engineering and the skills of the crew. What's more, it makes for an awesome slow-mo clip. If only this trick could be recreated for future air shows, they'd win every time. But that would be crazy.
