In a desert town, household pests can be a little more exotic than your typical mice and cockroaches. In fact, they can be downright deadly.
Carla Rosso had a close call recently at her home in Calabasas, California, when she bent down to pick up what she thought was her dog Duchess' rope toy. But something wasn't right. "I grabbed it and as I was going up, I realized it was gushy and it had a feeling to it, like a hot dog sort of," she told ABC 13 Eyewitness News. "So I let it go. And for some reason I thought it was still on me." It was a baby rattlesnake, and it didn't seem too pleased about being grabbed. Surveillance camera footage shows Rosso's freaked-out reaction.
Once the scare was over, Rosso and her family could laugh about the incident. "I was cracking up," she said. "It was hilarious. I can't believe I did that. I can't believe I picked up a snake. Check it off my bucket list of things to do!"
Sounds like a weird bucket list, but OK.
